The MRZ-260 is a compact, fully addressable ZigBee base station compatible with URC's MX-880z remote control. The base station features an integrated Zigbee 2.4Ghz receiver, two fixed line outputs for IR emitters, and two adjustable, or variable, line outputs. Each adjustable output can be matched to the IR input on any component that a standard IR repeater can operate. The base station extends the reception range for flawless connectivity from a compatible remote up to 100 feet away through walls, floors and doors, indoors or outdoors. It eliminates the line-of-sight requirement, and can even be concealed in cabinets for true Barrier Free control. ZigBee allows the integrator to install as many remotes as required, each with its own unique ZigBee network ID instead of competing for assignable RF frequencies. In fact, the MRZ-260 is equipped with four independent IR outputs, each capable of simultaneously operating components controlled via four separate MX-880z remote controls. It's like having four base stations in one chassis.
Your installer may recommend the MRZ-260i. The specifications are exactly the same except that i-series products operate at a 433MHz (the other RF products transmit and receive at 418MHz). All i-series base stations must be matched with i-series remotes.
